The best times to do gorilla tracking in Rwanda are June through October and December to March during the dry season with less rains but even other months are good but expect some rain showers during day or night. if you decide t visit during the high season be prepared to pay for all your trip essentials in time, Gorilla permits, lodging, because the demand is always too high and some travellers book a year before. Sometimes you can find tour deals at last minute the lodging availability and permits if lucky during the high season though usual. Remember you need a stable vehicle either for hire or from your travel planners to move you from Kigali to the park since no public transport means is available to take you to the Gorilla headquarters the day for tracking. Therefore public transport in Rwanda to the Gorilla park is unreliable. Don’t forget your Gorilla tracking permit and valid passport on the day for tracking since they are the only legal documents you got to present for the tracking all else you might mess your trek up if you happen to forget them. Check on your Gorilla tracking check list and carry the right staff for the trek on the Gorilla tracking day. Stay close to the lodge in order to keep time and also remind your driver to pick you up a little bit early if you’re starting you Gorilla safari from Kigali in order to be on time.
